Your opportunity: You'll contribute to Queensland's transition to renewable energy and join a team in a new position within the Quality Management team of Yurika's Project Management Office.
As our Project Engineer - Quality in the Quality Management team, your advanced expertise in quality management systems, including ISO 9001:2015 and demonstrated communication, teamwork, inter-personal and negotiating skills in the delivery of HV infrastructure designs will be key to Yurika's continued success and growth.
Based at any major QLD centre, responsible for effective provision of engineering support, e.g. design, drafting, procurement and field services for assigned High Voltage Substation and Line projects being delivered under contract by the Engineering & Project Delivery division.
The role supports project personnel in the implementation of quality and completions processes, ensuring the specified outcomes are in compliance with the contract, quality assurance standards and operational requirements.
Amplify your impact:Develop and maintain professional capability through building proficiency in engineering skills and methods and reviewing and maintaining professional standards including keeping abreast of industry changes (including working towards RPEQ status) which will enable the role to provide professional engineering advice and ensure the successful delivery of allocated tasks.Ensure relevant project delivery records are captured and collated in the electronic document management system specific to each project.Drive knowledge sharing, development and mentoring of internal stakeholders to enable broader business awareness and acceptance of technology changes, to develop skills of other employees and to provide experienced engineering and technical advice where required.Investigate new technologies and review existing systems with a view to providing recommendations on use and development of engineering tools and standards that drive improved performance around delivery, safety, reliability and cost-effective solutions for customers and the community.Contribute to achieving the objectives of a high performance asset management team / workgroup by conducting, completing and delivering comprehensive investigations, engineering analysis using detailed calculations, research and evaluation.This position is graded as Professional & Managerial Grade Two. On a 10-day fortnight, the remuneration for your new role is from $171,495 per annum + 14.75% superannuation. This is a 12-month fixed term position and will be primarily site-based however there will be an expectation to work out of Yurika offices from time to time. This position will attract additional site-based allowances in line with Energy Queensland Union Collective Agreement 2024.
