MANLY ROAD 24HR VETERINARY HOSPITAL – GENERAL PRACTICE Veterinary Nurse/Technician – Full-time or Part Time Manly Road Veterinary Hospital is seeking an experienced Veterinary Nurse to join our dedicated and compassionate team. We are a busy and well-established privately owned practice, that is committed to providing high-quality care to our patients and excellent service to our clientsResponsibilities: Assisting veterinarians in consultations, examinations, surgeries and other medical procedures (including x-ray, ultrasounds, dentistry)Triaging emergency patients, unscheduled patients and wildlife as requiredConducting TPRs and maintaining accurate medical records Administering medications and treatments as directed by veterinarians Monitoring and documenting patient vital signs during procedures and recoveryExperience with surgical preparation, anaesthesia monitoring and post-operative carePlace IV catheters and take blood in surgical, hospital and ER patients Performing laboratory tests, including bloodwork, urinalysis, faecal examinations and progesterone testing Educating and providing guidance to clients on pet care and treatmentsComplete nurse consults (inclusive of injections, nail trims, nutritional discussions) with owner and billing accordinglyIdeal Candidates: Minimum of 2 years' experience as a Veterinary NurseCertificate IV in Veterinary Nursing and/or Bachelor of Applied Science (Veterinary Technology)Proficiency in animal handling and restraint techniquesExcellent communications skills and ability to work well in a teamStrong organisational and multitasking abilitiesFlexible availability regarding rosteringCommitted to ongoing professional developmentWilling to assist in training and development of nurses completing their studyWhat we offer: Competitive salary based on experience and qualificationsGuaranteed task variety – Nursing in the following areas; consultation, emergency response, surgery, dental and hospital Support of experienced veterinarians, veterinary nursing/technicians and client support team who allow our nurses to focus on our patients as their priorityRegular team building and staff recreational activitiesContinuing support from our own education manager If you are a skilled and passionate Veterinary Nurse, we would love to hear from you, please contact Sal via phone on ******** or email a copy of your CV to (email protected)
