Senior Trade Overseer – Agriculture 5D St Heliers Correctional Centre

Salary: $101,981 pa + Incidental Allowance + Leave Loading + Superannuation
Your role:
We are looking for a proactive and dedicated Senior Trade Overseer to work within our Agriculture Unit at the St Heliers Correctional Centre.
What you’ll do:
Join an organisation with a rich history where your trade experience is valued. Senior Trade Overseers are trade qualified Correctional Officers with the essential role of using your trade skills to work with and supervise inmates and other staff to undertake programmed and reactive maintenance tasks essential to keep the correctional centre operational.
Provide leadership and mentoring to Overseers, and supervise and develop inmates through managing, coaching, instructing, and encouraging them, as members of a team, in order that they may improve their work skills, enhance their post-release employment prospects, and contribute productively to Business Unit objectives.
Qualifications Required:
* Current Certificate III in Correctional.
* Current NSW Driver Licence and preparedness to drive a vehicle while performing the role.
* Relevant trade qualifications: Agriculture, Animal Husbandry or related trade qualification.
* Experience which demonstrates the ability to meet the key accountabilities and focus capabilities as detailed in the role description.
* Ability and willingness to work across trades as required.
* Experience with livestock (cattle).
* Mechanical aptitude and capability.
