About the Role:
To plan, develop, deliver and assess units of competency related to courses and to organize and deliver theory, practical, flexible and simulation classes in relevant subject areas across the Certificate lll in Early Childhood Education and Care.
Duties:
Teaching:
Develop, maintain and evaluate student learning programs, projects and associated materials.
Assessment:
Conduct required pre-training assessment reviews and assessment requirements connected to contract delivery for the program/s.
Industry Engagement:
Participate in the marketing and promotion of the courses by liaise with industry contacts, networks and learning communities.
Quality and Compliance:
Assist in the development and maintenance of quality assurance processes in relation to program and course administration, design, delivery assessment and evaluation of training materials.
Vocational and Industry Currency:
Identify, create and participate in professional development relevant to teaching and the maintenance of vocational currency.

Skills and Experience Required:
* Minimum 2 years recent industry experience in Early Childhood Education & Care
A Degree, Diploma or Certificate relevant in both content and academic level and industry experience relevant to Certificate lll / Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care.
* A Certificate IV in Training and Assessment TAE40116 or a Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40110) including Design and Develop Assessment Tools (TAEASS502) and Address Adult Language, Literacy and Numeracy (LLN) skills (TAELLLN4111) or (TAELLN401A).
* A thorough knowledge of current industry practices and procedures with a demonstrated ability to initiate and maintain liaisons within the Early Childhood Education and Care industry.
* Ability to take a lead role in the effective delivery of Early Childhood Education and Care courses.
* Ability to teach and facilitate delivery of specialist Early Childhood Education and Care and related courses to groups which may have a diverse range of abilities, backgrounds and readiness.
* Ability to use a variety of teaching modes and materials including flexible and industry-based delivery.
* A thorough knowledge of current industry practices and procedures with a demonstrated ability to initiate and maintain liaisons within Early Childhood Education and Care Industry.
* Ability to co-operate in a team environment and, where necessary, work effectively with minimum supervision.
* Demonstrated knowledge of and commitment to Occupational Health and Safety, Anti- Discrimination,
* Quality Assurance and Continuous Improvement.
* Current Working with Children Check (Employee) – mandatory.
* Current National Police Check – mandatory.
* Knowledge of current issues in vocational education and training particularly as they relate to the areas taught within the Department – desirable.
