This is an exciting opportunity for passionate Support Workers with relevant experience to join a dynamic environment and support staff.As a Support Worker, you will provide assertive outreach support to NDIS Participants with a range of disabilities such as anxiety, depression, or post-traumatic stress disorder.This includes intensive, flexible, responsive, client-focused support with the aim of assisting clients to successfully improve physical and mental health, develop connections with the community, and achieve their goals.Support Workers will participate in a 24/7 roster and assist participants in their daily living needs including personal care, domestic assistance, social support, transport, etc.Skills and experience:Must be able to build rapport quickly and demonstrate empathy and understanding of issues relating to people with disabilities; and who may be at-risk and have high support needs.Extensive experience and/or qualifications relevant to working with people with disabilities and knowledge of working in residential settings.Well-developed interpersonal and communication skills.A positive approach to the rights of people with disabilities and an understanding of how the NDIS works.You must have at minimum: Must hold a relevant Cert IV, Diploma, or Tertiary qualification (or its equivalent) including demonstrated knowledge or experience in working with NDIS participants with complex needs.Must hold a WWVP card or willingness to obtain.Driving License (minimum P2).Must have a current First Aid certificate and medication administration certificate or willingness to acquire it.Must have a manual handling certificate.Must have qualifications related to epilepsy or sufficient experience to handle epilepsy.Must be willing to attend periodical training and uphold registrations and qualifications.Must have completed NDIS Worker Orientation.Must agree and sign a confidentiality form to protect organisational and participants' information at all times.What we offer: Excellent/competitive pay rate.Ongoing training and development opportunities.Supportive and friendly working environment.Diverse and inclusive organisation.Flexible working hours - weekdays, weekends, nights, Public Holidays.Penalty rates on evenings, nights and weekends.For further enquiries about this role, please email: ******Successful applicants will be required to consent to reference checks and a criminal record check.Job Types: Part-time, Permanent, Fixed term.Pay: $43.00 – $44.00 per hour.Expected hours: 20 – 25 per week.Schedule:Shift work.Supplementary Pay:Penalty rates.Licence/Certification:First Aid Certification (Preferred).Working with Children Check (Preferred).NDIS Worker Screening Check (Preferred).National Police Certificate (Preferred).Driver Licence (Preferred).Work Authorisation:Australia (Required).Work Location: In person. #J-18808-Ljbffr
