We have close to 600 births per year and our midwives work collaboratively with obstetricians and multidisciplinary teams to provide woman-centred care.About the Role: The Registered Midwife will work in partnership with women using a woman-centred approach to provide necessary support, care, and advice during pregnancy, labour, birth, and the postpartum period.Key Responsibilities:A quality care framework that promotes positive health outcomes.Comprehensive assessment, establishing goals, developing a plan of care, providing and evaluating care and education.Respecting the rights of individuals, their beliefs, cultural values, and dignity.Analysing information and data, tracking and communicating outcomes as the basis for practice.Consulting and liaising with obstetric, medical, and other appropriate care providers when deviations from the norm are identified.Responding to emergency situations and deterioration of the woman/baby, escalating care as required.Conducting births on the midwife’s own responsibility, and providing care for the newborn and infant.Delegating midwifery care activity to registered nurses (RNs), enrolled nurses (ENs), Assistants in Nursing (AINs), Assistants in Midwifery (AIMs), and others according to their competence.Providing care and delivering services in accordance with the National Patient Safety and Quality Standards.Requirements:Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia Registration.Demonstrated evidence to meet the NMBA's Registered Midwife standards for practice.National Police Check.NSW Working with Children Check.AHPRA Registration.Vaccination Category: A.Class C Drivers License.How to Apply: Ready to take on this rewarding role and make a difference in a vibrant community?
