That's refreshing.We are looking for an engineer to join our metering field team as we grow.
You would be a metering engineering expert or an engineer with an interest in specializing in metering.
The role would be working with the Team Leader - Field Services in maintaining the NATA accreditation and AEMO compliance for the field metering testing activities.
The Metering Engineer will contribute to issues relating to revenue of HV metering and other metering services conducted as the Metering Provider on behalf of Ausnet Transmission Group.
Training will be provided as needed.This role is based in Yarraville, Victoria, and is part of the Metering Engineering Team.This role will deliver real outcomes, including but not limited to:Conduct on-site diagnostic testing & calibration on a wide variety of energy metering and measurement equipment within the High Voltage environments.Review and ensure all necessary primary and secondary isolations are carried out correctly to confirm safe access to metering equipment.Installation and commissioning of permanent and portable metering equipment, ensuring it complies with NER Chapter 7, Victorian Service installation rules, and various Australian standards.Preparation of technical reports (to the various accreditation levels as required).Planning the day-to-day workload of the Energy Metering group to ensure that equipment & personnel are appropriately utilized to maximize throughput & equipment turnaround times.Periodically conduct audits and cross-reference checks on field test equipment and ensure calibration frequency is maintained.Plan, prepare, and participate in all AEMO audits as required.Develop, maintain & expand the testing processes, procedures & methods for the group and ensure they meet the requirements of the various accreditations.Work in accordance with OH&S laws and company policies.You don't need to check every box; however, we are looking for a good combination of:Bachelor of Engineering.Relevant knowledge relating to transmission and/or distribution network compliance testing methodologies would be beneficial.Relevant qualifications and/or applied experience in the field of metering services or secondary systems would be beneficial.Current Victorian driver's license/in process of obtaining Victorian License is essential.Experience in testing and inspecting primary and secondary electrical assets - current transformers, voltage transformers, secondary equipment (desired, not essential).Experience in setting up test equipment and making connections to primary and secondary systems (desired, not essential).Experience in using various measuring devices such as multimeters, ammeters, IR testers, etc.Experience in failure analysis and identifying methods to resolve technical issues.Understanding of NER Chapter 7 Compliance with legislation, policies, and procedures (desired, not essential).Understanding of Victorian Installation Rules.A real place to belong.We celebrate unique voices, refreshing perspectives, and diversity in our team.
