An exciting opportunity exists for a Cook who will be directly responsible to follow the production plan, use standardised recipes, prepare, heat and cook meals ready for patients and clients. You will supervise Patient Support Assistants and provide your team with clear direction and support, on the job assistance, feedback and be a role model for Patient Support Assistant Food Service staff.

Key Responsibilities include:
* Responsible for the production presentation of high quality food items produced to specific and accurate specifications for patients/clients of NGH Food Services in accordance with the NGH Food Safety Program and the Food Safety Act 2006.
* Knowledge of Food Safety procedures within a hospital setting, compliance with the Food Safety Act 2006 and assist with ensuring the compliance of NGH Food Safety Program with food hygiene regulations and practices.
* Supervise and provide instruction to PSA Food Services staff working in the main ktichen.
* Prepare, produce and present quality food items for patients/clients in accordance with the specialised requirements of a cook chill food production system and the menu schedule following standardised recipes, hospital and food standards.
Remuneration value up to $81, 478 p.a., comprising salary between $67,462- $71,412 p.a., employer contribution to superannuation (up to 12.75%) and annual leave loading (17.5%) (OO3).
