ABOUT THE ROLE
Ertech have partnered with the country's leading defence authority to deliver pioneering projects that provide critical marine and onshore infrastructure off the coast of Western Australia. The projects will have international scope and present unique challenges and opportunities.
Initially working from our Balcatta office, this individual will then mobilise to Garden Island working Monday – Friday during project delivery, expected to commence late 2025.
Your role:
* Prepare, maintain, update, and distribute project QA/QC documents, procedures, processes
* Perform inspections, audits, and tests on materials and workmanship to verify compliance with the project's quality requirements, identifying and addressing any deviations or non-conformances
* Assist with the preparation and implementation of project ITPs, Check Sheets, Hold Pont / Witness Point notifications, Concession / Deviation Request (CDR), Non-conformance Report (NCR), Corrective Actions, and other associated QA/QC documentation
* Act as project Preservation Lead and maintain preservation records by ensuring customer preservation requirements are met as per Preservation Management Plan
* Demonstrate knowledge spanning various disciplines such as earthworks, concrete, HDPE piping, steel piping, and electrical, including their respective test methods.
* Strong interpersonal abilities, including the capacity to defuse conflicts, mentor junior engineers, interact effectively with project engineers, and deliver concise and transparent responses/updates
Your background:
* Proven background in quality engineering within Defence, government, or other highly regulated industries such as oil & gas
* Ability to analyse quality issues, identify root causes, and implement corrective actions effectively, ensuring that the project maintains compliance with stringent quality standards
* Tertiary qualifications in engineering or equivalent
* Extensive civil construction experience with a focus on QA/QC management
* Document management systems such as Aconex
* Auditing systems and processes
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills; confident liaising with clients, suppliers, and colleagues across multiple disciplines.
* Ability to obtain and maintain a Defence security clearance, as required for working on Department of Defence projects
