About the Role
As a Home Care Worker, you will provide direct care and domestic assistance duties, as well as social support and transport as required for clients. You will be working in various locations including Reservoir, Preston, Epping, Tullamarine, Craigieburn, Sunbury, Wollert, Greensborough, Diamond Creek and surrounding communities.
* Ensure that client's rights, cultural, spiritual and other individual needs are incorporated in all aspects of care and daily living
* Work within a multidisciplinary team, provide effective support to clients, recognize changes in clients' conditions and escalate observations and concerns in accordance with Uniting AgeWell processes
* Promote and participate in quality activities, and provide outstanding customer service maintaining friendly, supportive and professional relationships with clients, their relatives and friends
* Support colleagues by sharing knowledge and expertise
* Must have your own car (registered in your own name), valid insurance and a current Victorian driver's licence
About You
We are looking for someone who is passionate about making a difference in the lives of our residents/clients. This role is ideal for someone with:
* Certificate III/IV or equivalent in Individual Support (Aged or Disability) or equivalent
* Current First Aid and CPR certificates
* Current and valid Victorian Driver's Licence
* Experience in a home care setting or providing domestic support is desirable
* Knowledge in community care with a commitment to high standards of care for clients and their families
* Understanding of client directed care
* Ability to thrive in a team environment and appreciate one-to-one interactions
* Commitment to working a minimum of 3 business days

Essentials for Working in Aged Care
* A current Working With Children Check card
* Current and ongoing flu vaccinations
* Ability to pass a national police clearance and NDIS Clearance
