All our work operates within a certified Integrated Management System which underpins everything we do and ensures we continually deliver exceptional service and advice to our clients The Opportunity Greenfield Technical Services is currently seeking a hardworking, qualified, and enthusiastic Civil Engineer to join our Civil Engineering team. The role is based in Geraldton however for a candidate with the right skills, experience and attitude, there may be the opportunity to be based in Perth with travel to Geraldton regularly. Key Responsibilities As a Civil Engineer, you will be responsible for providing civil engineering support for road and civil projects across Western Australia. Key responsibilities may include but will not be limited to: Civil Engineering Undertaking preliminary technical assessments of potential road and civil works projects Carrying out engineering inspections, analysis and on-site technical assessments and reviews of existing road and civil works projects including sealed and unsealed roads, drainage structures, aerodromes, pavements, and bridges Preparation of concept, preliminary, and detailed designs based on relevant Australian Standards, Main Roads Standards, AustRoads Standards or other technical codes and standards as appropriate using 12d Model and AutoCAD Preparation of engineering drawings using AutoCAD Preparation of technical specifications for road and civil works projects Review of concept, preliminary and detailed designs and associated technical documentation for road and civil projects Conduct regular site inspections to monitor project progress Conduct regular site inspections to monitor project progress Assist the project team in maintaining project progress and cost management Leading the implementation of road construction and/or maintenance and civil projects including preparation of project schedules, budgets, and other key project documentation Reporting to the Project Team with regular reports, and construction reports and providing technical input to all stakeholders of the project About you: To be considered for the position, you must have: A tertiary qualification in Civil Engineering Valid working rights in Australia At least three years of experience as a Civil Engineer Working knowledge of key software packages - AutoCAD and 12d A keen interest in road and road-related civil engineering design and construction A respectful, curious and interested attitude to the role and a willingness and eagerness to learn and accept feedback Willingness and flexibility to travel widely within Western Australia to deliver arange of road construction and maintenance projects. Company vehicles are provided for company travel. Proactive and enthusiastic approach to professional development Experience with road design, road construction and/or road maintenance projects Visual Road Condition Assessment knowledge and experience Road asset valuation knowledge and experience including working knowledge of RAMM Experience with GIS software packages (ArcGIS or QGIS) Experience with engineering feature surveys and geotechnical works We are keen to speak with individuals who are ambitious, organised, and solution-minded, with strong communication skills and an ability to operate at a high level under pressure.
