About the Role
The Strategic Partnerships Manager will focus on both acquiring and nurturing corporate partnerships and philanthropic support to drive expansion and impact for The Family Co.
Reporting into the CEO with access to and support from the Board, this position is responsible for the development and execution of a partnership strategy, and will work to audit and steward existing partnerships while prioritising business development of new, value-aligned and revenue generating opportunities.
By pursuing larger value, multi-year relationships across a wider geographical area, this position will play a key role in diversifying income across the organisation. This position has one direct report who focuses on the annual fundraising events calendar.
About You
You are an exceptional relationship and stakeholder manager whose high energy, creativity and attention to detail will ensure partners of all sizes feel valued and engaged. You are strategic and practical ; able to think big, pitch well, and craft compelling proposals while being hands on during this formative stage of a critical portfolio. You will use your entrepreneurial, presentation and creative-thinking skills to identify, cultivate, and secure new corporate partners and much-needed untied funding.
Your previous nonprofit experience will serve you well in navigating the complexities of philanthropic funding and ensure you are comfortable and confident seeking and maximising opportunities across corporate partnerships, philanthropic trusts, and fee-for-service relationships.

Key responsibilities
* Develop and lead strategic initiatives to grow corporate partnerships, sponsorship, philanthropic support and fee for service income across local, state and national levels.
* Nurture and retain existing partners and key stakeholder relationships.
* Research and identify prospective partners to build a pipeline of potential support, and evaluate against The Family Co’s brand, values and ethical framework.
* Collaborate with the Board, CEO and Operations Manager to drive non-government income growth and stability.
* Work closely with the Marketing Manager to develop a suite of compelling pitch materials, proposals and partner assets.
* Supervise and support the Event Coordinator and fundraising events calendar.
* Prepare detailed reports for key stakeholders including the Board, partners and prospects.
* Develop and maintain internal and external networks and relationships to raise the profile of The Family Co.
Essential Criteria
* Demonstrated experience in building and managing corporate partnerships for a nonprofit
* presentation skills (written and verbal)
* Experience leading mutually beneficial, multi-year agreements with a focus on untied revenue
* Proficient in identifying new business opportunities, effectively engaging with executive-level stakeholders, and presenting compelling partnership proposals.
* Sharp attention to detail, adept at managing budgets, and confident producing accurate partnership performance and impact reports.
* Skilled relationship manager with the ability to influence, negotiate, build rapport and achieve targets.
* Previous experience in a similar role within a nonprofit or for-purpose organisation.
* Formal tertiary qualification in business, marketing, or communication
