About the OpportunityKAMS now has multiple opportunities for a Remote Area Nurse to join their friendly, multidisciplinary team in Kutjungka, Bidyadanga & Beagle Bay, WA, on a casual basis. Reporting to the Health Centre Manager, you will be required to work as part of a team delivering coordinated and comprehensive Primary Health and emergency care to clients and their community.Some of your key responsibilities will include:Delivering health promotion and education activities, coordinating assigned health programs (i.e; Chronic Condition or Maternal and Child Health);Providing professional, evidence based primary healthcare to individuals, families and communities;Working in consultation with the multidisciplinary health care team to streamline an integrated patient journey across all providers;Participating in an on-call roster to provide a 24/7 emergency care service.Please note: It is a requirement that successful candidates be willing to undergo a National Police Check prior to employment with KAMS. What you'll need to be successfulTo be successful, you will be currently registered with AHPRA as a Registered Nurse and have demonstrated post-graduate experience in the delivery of comprehensive primary health care, including emergency care.You'll have a solid understanding of cultural safety and a commitment to the principles of Aboriginal community controlled health services.
