Senior Construction Manager (Queensland)We are looking for an experienced and motivated Construction Manager to oversee and manage multiple construction projects throughout Queensland. This role is responsible for ensuring the successful planning, execution, and completion of projects in alignment with company standards, budget, and timelines. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in project management within the construction industry, a deep understanding of Queensland regulations and codes, and a commitment to quality and safety.Key Responsibilities:Project Planning and Management:Develop detailed project plans, including schedules, budgets, resources, and milestones.Coordinate with project stakeholders, including clients, architects, engineers, and subcontractors, to ensure clear understanding and alignment on project objectives.Establish project objectives, manage resources, and track progress to ensure timely completion.Site Management and Supervision:Oversee daily site operations to ensure compliance with project specifications, safety standards, and regulatory requirements.Manage onsite supervisor, construction schedules, addressing any delays or issues to keep the project on track.Conduct regular site inspections and safety audits, ensuring a safe and efficient work environment.Budget and Financial Oversight:Prepare and manage project budgets, ensuring all costs align with approved spending and profitability targets.Monitor project expenses and approve cost variations as needed, maintaining transparency and fiscal responsibility.Identify opportunities to optimize costs without compromising quality or safety.Quality Assurance and Compliance:Ensure that all projects comply with Queensland building codes, regulations, and environmental guidelines.Implement quality control measures, reviewing completed work to meet company standards and client expectations.Address any issues related to compliance or quality, implementing corrective actions promptly.Team Leadership and Development:Supervise and support site supervisors, contractors, and other project personnel, fostering a collaborative team environment.Provide training, mentorship, and guidance to staff, promoting best practices and professional growth.Facilitate effective communication among team members, addressing any conflicts or challenges.Stakeholder Communication:Act as the main point of contact for clients, providing regular project updates and addressing any concerns.Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, subcontractors, and regulatory bodies.Conduct project meetings and prepare reports on project status, risks, and outcomes.Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in construction management, Civil Engineering, or a related field.7+ years of experience in construction management, with a strong background in overseeing projects in Queensland.In-depth knowledge of Queensland construction codes, standards, and environmental regulations.Proven experience managing budgets, schedules, and project resources effectively.Proficient in project management software (e.g., MS Project, Procore) and understanding of construction methodologies.Strong leadership, organisational, and problem-solving skills.Additional Requirements:Valid Queensland driver's license and willingness to travel to various project sites.Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to build rapport with diverse stakeholders.Valid Queensland Builder's License under QBCC (not essential)This position is ideal for an experienced Construction Manager who thrives in a dynamic environment and is dedicated to delivering high-quality, timely, and cost-effective construction projects across Queensland.#J-18808-Ljbffr
