The Head of Student Wellbeing is an experienced, innovative and passionate school leader. They have a broad responsibility for driving continuous improvement in wellbeing for learning at Grace Lutheran College. The Head of Student Wellbeing leads the pastoral care program (GEL Program) and student management processes in both a proactive and as necessary reactive manner to support student learning.The Head of Student Wellbeing works in collaboration with the Wellbeing and Student Services Team, Head of Teaching and Learning and Teaching and Learning Coordinator, as well as other senior leaders to ensure the College’s strategic plan is met and to create structures and conditions that facilitate the work of both staff and students to create a positive learning culture.The Head of Student Wellbeing has oversight and management of the Wellbeing Leads, Counselling, Health Centre, GEL Program, camp scope and sequence (including GOOGA) and relevant campus events.The Head of Student Wellbeing is a member of the campus based local leadership team.The Head of Student Wellbeing is expected to fully support, and convey to the students and staff, the ethos of the College. This ethos would normally be demonstrated by a compassionate and respectful relationship with students, staff and parents.
