Duties / Responsibilities: We are seeking an enthusiastic Rural Generalist to join our team in tropical North Queensland. Innisfail Hospital is a 32 bed acute care hospital staffed by Rural Generalists, SMOs, and trainees. We have a busy Emergency Department seeing 20k patients per year. We have excellent critical care equipment and medical imaging capacity allowing advanced diagnostic and treatment capacity. Our inpatient unit has a 3 bed High Dependency unit allowing limited critical care capacity locally. Our Obstetric SMOs work with MGP midwives delivering over 200 babies per year with a LCSC rate of 25%. A collaborative environment exists with weekly multidisciplinary antenatal case conferences and monthly multidisciplinary instrumental birth case reviews.
