Director, Credit Research Analyst - APAC SecuritisedAbout this roleBlackRock's Fundamental Fixed Income (FFI) business manages more than $1 trillion in global fixed income assets across index, actively managed, alternative, and liability driven investment strategies. The platform offers fixed income investors one of the industry's broadest array of investment solutions across model-based and fundamental investment styles. Within FFI, the Global Securitised Team are responsible for analysing new issues, secondary opportunities and existing exposures and managing Securitised strategies across BlackRock's fixed income portfolios, institutional clients' segregated mandates and our Securitised pooled fund and has more than $120bn MV under management.BlackRock is seeking a Director level credit research analyst to focus on the APAC Securitised market and Asset Based Financing Opportunities. The successful candidate will be part of a team where credit research and portfolio management work together to manage all Securitised strategies and portfolios.Key Responsibilities:Performing comprehensive credit and cashflow analysis, including reviewing transaction documentation, for potential investments across the full capital structure of APAC Securitised transactions (such as RMBS, ABS and other sub sectors).Undertaking analysis for both public and private, primary and secondary opportunities considering relative value and potential alpha generation.Communicating with transaction parties including arrangers and originators.Reviewing underwriting and servicing of transaction originators and servicers. Participating in dealer roadshows and onsite due diligence.Assessing the ESG factors of a transaction and applying BlackRock's PEXT/NEXT framework.Providing high quality credit opinions to be presented to the Securitised team and analytical support for regular updates to clients on positions.Maintaining and building deep external relationships with APAC issuers and relevant counterparties to support the sourcing of opportunities.Tracking issuer, asset class and industry trends.Key Qualifications:Considerable in-depth experience in the analysis of Residential Mortgage-Backed Securities. Experience with other asset classes will be an advantage.Understanding of the UK/European and APAC Securitised markets and regulatory landscape.Excellent oral and written communication skills essential for presenting credit opinions internally and for communicating with clients and other market participants.Solid understanding of reviewing legal documents from a credit risk perspective.A strong work ethic with a team-focused approach.
