About the Role
Join our team as a Disability Support Worker in Albury, where you'll provide tailored, person-centred care to individuals living with disabilities. We have vacancies in both our Supported Independent Living and Lifestyle Programs. Supported Independent Living (SIL) empowers individuals with disabilities to live autonomously in their own homes with active tailored supports. Our Lifestyle shifts however focus more on community engagement, attending appointments, domestic assistance, and social outings.

Key Responsibilities
* Assist clients in daily personal care routines, including bathing, shaving, and toileting
* Actively support and advocate for clients choice and independence
* Facilitate goal attainment through meaningful client-chosen activities and encourage community participation which may include 1 on 1 support within the community
* Track and document the changing needs of clients through thorough record-keeping
* Foster positive relationships with clients, families, and fellow team members
* Follow person-centred active support plans and behavioural support plans respectfully
* Track and document clients' changing needs while fostering positive relationships with clients, families, and fellow team members, advocating for client choice and control with a focus on safety and compliance.
Skills & Experience
* Hold an unrestricted New South Wales driver’s licence and access to a reliable vehicle
* Demonstrated competency in basic technology usage on mobile and desktop platforms
* A current First Aid Certificate, which includes the course HLTAID003 or HLTAID011 or willingness to obtain
Successful candidates will be required to clear all state-based probity checks; including but not limited to a National Criminal History Record Check and NDIS Worker Screening Check.
