Product Development Manager Agency: Jacana EnergyContact: Kelley Yeats at Work Unit: CommercialJob Type: Full timeLocation: DarwinSalary: $136,974 - $158,672Closing: 07/11/2024ABOUT THE ROLE The Product Development Manager reports to the Head of Products, organising and executing activities across the business, stakeholders, and customers to develop and deliver new products and services that align with the energy retail growth strategy into the Northern Territory market. In addition, they hold specific accountability for operation and governance of the Product Development Framework as well as end-to-end products and services delivery execution including market analysis, go-to-market planning, and operational readiness.CORE RESPONSIBILITIES Manage the product development framework Stage Gate reviews, approvals, and governance.Collaboratively manage product delivery across the business to ensure on-time and budget launch of pipeline products and services according to the Product Development Framework.Effectively lead and manage direct reports and consultants that contribute to the delivery of new products and services.Review, monitor and report on key product performance indicators and identify opportunities for development and optimisation.Lead and support innovation and agile ways of working across the broader organisation.Support and engage with business representatives who provide product ideas or subject matter expertise throughout the product development processes.Remain abreast of industry trends, new product offerings and competitive developments in the electricity industry across NT, Australian and other relevant markets to assess their capability for the NT, Jacana Energy, and our customers.Comply with the NTPS and Jacana Energy Code of Conduct, NTPS and Jacana Energy policies and procedures as well as other relevant regulatory guidelines and legislation.SELECTION CRITERIA Understanding of product development and innovation with practical experience in designing and delivering product initiatives, and particularly in an energy retail environment.Experience in reviewing or preparing business cases, financial models, and commercial structures and agreements.Demonstrate a pragmatic approach to organisation, planning, implementation, and analytical skills.Experience supporting multi-disciplinary groups and facilitating their effective collaboration through development, planning and change management activities.Persuasive presentation and negotiation skills and the ability to effectively communicate with a broad range of internal and external stakeholders including customers.Proactive customer focus dedicated to fostering positive customer and business outcomes.High energy, can-do attitude with a strong sense of ownership, curiosity, creativity, and desire to succeed.A commitment to demonstrating Jacana Energy's values of Diversity, Innovation, Honesty, Teamwork and Wellbeing.You may also have: Tertiary qualifications in marketing, product and innovation, customer experience or business strategy.Knowledge of the Northern Territory electricity market, national electricity market and Australian clean energy landscapes.Studies and qualifications in design thinking, human centred design, Scrum product owner methodologies will be well regarded.HOW TO APPLY If you meet the above selection criteria and have the required capabilities, apply for this vacancy online at Home/JobDetails?rtfId=308219.FURTHER INFORMATION The recommended applicant may be required to undergo a criminal history check prior to selection being confirmed.
