Located 9km north of Rockhampton, Binbi Yadubay (meaning Healthy Beginnings) is a residential program offering withdrawal (8 beds) and rehabilitation (32 beds) services.
We also have a family recovery program (2 units) where parents can come with their children, aged 10 and under, to participate in the residential treatment program.

We currently have an opportunity available for a part-time (4 days per week) Pre & Post (Intake) Worker to join our service.
In this impactful role, you'll conduct comprehensive client assessments and connect individuals with essential support services, ensuring a smooth transition into and out of suitable residential treatments.
With the backing of a dedicated team and your Team Leader, you'll know you're making a difference when you: Recommend entry to Rockhampton Residential based on thorough assessments, including critical evaluations of suicide and withdrawal risks.
Deliver high-quality engagement, assessment, and support services, all grounded in evidence-based practices.
Actively foster client readiness, paving the way for successful attendance and completion of residential treatment.
Provide a warm and informative first-day introduction for new residents, helping them settle in by guiding them through entry paperwork, connecting them with administration for rental payments, and linking them with a buddy for support.
Develop, facilitate, and evaluate therapeutic group programs designed to enhance client readiness for AOD residential treatment, while building their confidence and capacity for a successful exit.
Your role will not only transform lives but also create a supportive environment where clients feel empowered and prepared for their recovery journey.
This is a permanent part-time position working 30 hours per week.
The gross base pay rate ranges from gross $49.28 to $51.51 per hour plus super, depending on your skills, knowledge, and experience.
In this role you will be working Monday to Thursday each week.
What do you need to apply?
About you You will play a key role as the first point of contact for supporting people in crisis time.
Hence the role requires someone with a calm and empathetic approach and the ability to work autonomously.
You will also possess the following skills and experience: Tertiary qualifications in a relevant human services discipline with additional AOD qualifications desirable but not essential and or demonstrated experience in a similar role.
Applied knowledge in AOD counselling practice, case management, intake, and assessment.
Highly developed communication and community engagement skills.
Local area knowledge, especially of community service agencies and programs is desirable.
Experience in residential treatment service delivery with a sound knowledge of the potential risk elements specific to this type of environment is desirable.
