About the Position The Payroll Compliance Lead role sits within the Finance Department of the Corporate Services division of Council. The division encompasses several key areas aimed at enhancing the council's operations and service delivery, which include ensuring compliance with legislative requirements. Skills and Experience Extensive knowledge and experience in payroll function in a medium to large-sized organisation Current knowledge of all relevant legislative requirements such as ATO rulings, Fringe Benefit Tax and Superannuation High level conceptual and analytical skills with the ability to think strategically and provide practical solutions to Payroll issues and drive enhancements to the payroll system Strong customer service orientation and service delivery Excellent knowledge of, and extensive experience with, computerised payroll systems, including software functionality Requirements Employee Working with Children's Check (if applicable) Satisfactory National Police Check Other pre-employment checks may be required depending on the role requirements.
