Join our client, a large health-related business employing 2,000 staff across multiple sites, as a Network & Communications Engineer. In this full-time role, you will be responsible for maintaining and optimising the company's core LAN/WAN environments and communications systems. What you'll be doing Design, configure and optimise network systems, including routers, switches, firewalls and wireless access points. Manage the day-to-day availability and capacity of the LAN and WAN environment. Analyse network performance, troubleshoot issues and implement remedial actions to ensure optimal connectivity and uptime. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate network solutions with other IT systems and applications. Lead the development of the network project designs that support modernisation efforts. Stay up-to-date with industry trends, technologies and best practices to recommend improvements to the network infrastructure. Manage the day-to-day operations of the voice systems, including the call centre/telephony systems. What we're looking for You are a mid-to-senior Network/Communications Engineer who is confident to own the network and communications space within the organisation. Demonstrated experience in managing, troubleshooting, and optimising CISCO network infrastructure, LAN/WAN management, and network monitoring. Experience with Cisco Meraki; knowledge of SD-WAN is highly desirable; along with Cisco Call Manager. Excellent problem-solving, analytical and communication skills to collaborate with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
