This newly created full-time role is available for immediate commencement based in Brisbane, Queensland, and reporting to the Branch Operations Manager. Requirements Your role will include:
Supervising a small workshop team Communicating accurate information on the status of jobs Promoting continual improvement and increased workshop throughput, organization, and efficiency Workshop machine maintenance and tooling requirement planning CNC programming and machining of engineering components Operation of conventional machinery such as lathes, milling machines, and surface grinders Supporting the Company's Policies and Procedures Scheduling & coordination of tasks to meet deadlines Maintaining ISO accredited systems obligations ISO 9001 / 45001 / 14001 Accurate time and record keeping of work performed Maintaining standards of technical accuracy Assisting to check and collect technical information Liaising with Engineering colleagues What you should bring with you - A qualification in Machining/ Technical Field - Mechanical Engineering with relevant experience in a similar role
- Knowledge of compressor components preferred
- CNC Machining Experience - Mazatrol &/ or Fanuc controllers
- Excellent attention to detail and an ability to work independently or as part of a team
- A thorough understanding of quality, safety, and environmental systems and principles
- Knowledge of Lean / Kaizen principles including 5S and Waste Elimination
- Mechanical aptitude with the ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications
- An Australian Driver's licence
- MUST have the right to work in Australia - Australian Citizen or Permanent Resident
- Excellent communication and organizational skills, with good attention to detail
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities
- Ability to work well with other staff to resolve issues and expedite requirements
