Summary: We are seeking an experienced and compassionate Aboriginal Health Worker to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing culturally appropriate health care services to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander patients. The role requires a deep understanding of the social, cultural, and historical factors that impact the health and wellbeing of Indigenous communities. Responsibilities: Provide culturally appropriate health care services to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander patients Work collaboratively with other health care professionals to develop and implement care plans Conduct health assessments and screenings Provide health education and promotion to individuals and groups Advocate for the health needs of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander patients Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records Participate in quality improvement activities Attend relevant training and professional development opportunities Qualifications: Certificate IV in Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander Primary Health Care (or equivalent) Demonstrated experience working in Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander health Knowledge of the social, cultural, and historical factors that impact the health and wellbeing of Indigenous communities Strong communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team Understanding of the principles of primary health care and health promotion The above is an Identified position.
