Our client, a well-known household manufacturing organisation, is exclusively partnering with Sharp & Carter in their search for a Head of Procurement for Australia.
Overseeing the procurement business unit supporting over sites, you will play a pivotal leadership role in creating and driving an agenda with a focus on optimising cost saving initiatives, increasing efficiencies and close supplier and stakeholder engagement.
We are looking for an experienced professional with a passion for manufacturing, and a background which demonstrates high performance and leadership. Naturally you will also have a proven track record of driving results in a complex manufacturing environment, in a business spread across multiple brands and locations.
Key responsibilities:
1. Create and execute a strategic procurement strategy aligned to the changing needs of the business
2. Foster and lead cross functional collaboration with key stakeholders, both internal and external
3. Drive continuous improvement initiatives
4. Monitor, advise and contribute to market trends, industry developments, and plan for the months and years ahead
5. Provide strong leadership, mentorship and development opportunities for both current and future procurement team members
6. Strong collaboration across senior leadership team to provide regular insights on procurement performance
To be successful, you will need to demonstrate:
7. Bachelor Degree in business, supply chain, engineering or related discipline
8. Relevant professional qualifications
9. Extensive experience in a similar role within manufacturing
10. Exceptional stakeholder engagement
11. Proven experience managing a high performing team across multiple locations
12. Passion for excellence and thinking outside the square
