About the roleA Fixed-Term, Full-Time opportunity to work with a high-performing and passionate team in the Victorian Public Service until 16th June 2026. VPS Grade 3: $76,817 - $93,275 plus superannuation. The Review Officer will work within Enforcement and Support Services, which is a branch of Civil and Enforcement Services. Some Of Your Duties Will Include Providing support to the Operations Team Lead to ensure the successful administration of the Fines Reform Act 2014. Exercising professional judgement regarding the application of Standards of Service and other relevant rules, policies, and guidelines to assist in the day-to-day operations of Fines Victoria, including the determination of payment arrangements and enforcement review applications and handling general enquiries. Providing accurate and timely advice and liaising with other Fines Victoria units, enforcement agencies, and other interested parties on infringement and other matters arising within the jurisdiction of Fines Victoria. About YouAs our ideal candidate, you will possess: An understanding of the infringement lifecycle, the Infringements Act 2006 and the Fines Reform Act 2014, or experience in the practical application of other legislation or policies. Competent use of Microsoft Office and relevant IT systems and applications. The ability to seek opportunities for continuous improvement and ways to innovate while encouraging others to do the same. What you'll be responsible for Legal Research: Conduct legal and factual research to collate findings, and inform business and legal decisions. Legal Operations: Review laws and standards to implement, update and maintain the organization's policies, standards, and procedures. Legal Advisory and Risk Management: Advise on the whole spectrum of legal matters that apply to the business and its offerings. Skills you'll need Negotiation: Persuades others to shift their views and/or behaviours with the goal of reaching consensus.
