TAFE Digital is part of TAFE NSW and is the largest online education provider in Australia. Our Electrotechnology teaching section delivers the following courses to our students:
• Certificate II in Electronics
• Certificate II in Electrotechnology (Career Start)
• Certificate III in Electrotechnology (Electrician)
• Diploma of Electrical Engineering
ABOUT THE ROLE
The section is seeking an Education Support Officer to work in the Electrotechnology teaching section in a Temporary Full Time capacity until June 2024.
You will be working in conjunction with and in support of the Head Teacher and their team of teachers with administrative support for our online and practical delivery. The role will require you to build engagement with learners to find ways to adapt training and support services so that they are accessible and relevant to learners. You will mentor and guide students through to course completion.
Please note, the responsibility of the Education Support Officer within TAFE NSW does not include teaching.
ABOUT YOU
The successful candidate will possess:
• Certificate III in Electrical Trades, or equivalent
• Minimum five years relevant industry experience gained no longer than five years previously
• High level computer literacy in the Microsoft Office suite (Excel, Word, Outlook etc)
Highly regarded
• Previous experience with a Learning Management System would be desirable with the willingness to learn new systems
• Demonstrated organisational and administrative skills applicable to an educational setting
