Regional Development Coordinator Salary: $109,730 - $132,764 (Plus Superannuation) Fixed term role: until 11 August 2025 Usual hours of work: Full time (flexibility may be available) Usual work location: Geelong (flexibility may be available) The Role Reporting to the Manager Regional Development, the Regional Development Coordinator is responsible for developing, coordinating, and implementing a range of development initiatives for communities and businesses in the region to identify and facilitate place-based solutions to support enhanced liveability and prosperity in regional communities. Main responsibilities: Utilise a significant understanding of the local region and its community, industry, and government context, local issues to lead delivery of governmental priorities. Lead integrated investment in place by understanding, influencing, and negotiating with key internal and external stakeholders and partners. Lead investment attraction, economic development, and the delivery of a range of DJSIR/RDV industry and recovery initiatives across the region. The Team The position of Regional Development Coordinator forms a part of the Regional Development Victoria group. RDV works with businesses, communities and across government to deliver economic growth, create jobs, build resilience, and support economic recovery in our regions. About You The successful candidate will ideally have the following skills and experience: Specialist Expertise: Sound understanding of the key industry and economic drivers, and knowledge of Government policies and programs. Project Management: Consults, liaises with and influences key stakeholders; produces detailed project plans to ensure project objectives are met. Stakeholder Management: Identifies issues in common for one or more stakeholders and uses this knowledge to build mutually beneficial partnerships.
