United in the pride that comes with welcoming the world at Australia's premier gateway.Job DescriptionAbout the roleStep into a pivotal role maintaining the critical infrastructure of Sydney Airport. As an Electrical Technician, you'll oversee the smooth operation of electrical systems across terminals, aerobridges, and the airfield, including high-voltage systems and runway lighting. Your responsibilities will range from scheduled preventative maintenance to fault finding, diagnostics, and hands-on repairs.Working in a complex, high-stakes environment, you'll collaborate with teams across the airport to support seamless operations. From escorting emergency services to managing isolations and contractor oversight, your contributions will ensure Sydney Airport remains efficient and operational day and night.What you'll be doingPerforming preventative maintenance and responding to issues across the airport's facilities, including terminals, aerobridges, and the airfield.Fault finding and repairing complex electrical systems, including high-voltage and low-voltage systems.Supervising contractors to ensure high-quality, timely, and safe work.Using systems like Maximo to log work orders, inspections, and follow-ups.Supporting operational continuity during emergencies or major works.Facilitating access to restricted areas and overseeing isolations for works.Contributing to safety and innovation in daily operations.This role works on a rotating shift pattern: two day shifts (6 am - 6 pm) followed by two night shifts (6 pm - 6 am).
