As a Customer Service Consultant, your role is vital in providing exceptional customer experiences through phone calls and emails. Your focus will be on handling incoming requests, processing orders, providing solutions, and ensuring that the needs of our customers are met with a high standard of empathy and care. This role is a permanent full-time role based in our Clayton office.
The hours of work for this position will be 9am to 5pm, Monday to Friday. The successful candidate will be required on-site five days per week for the initial training period, then moving to a hybrid model of a minimum three days on-site and 2 days working from home.
Responsibilities:
* Providing a proactive, expert, and tailored service through receiving, handling, and fulfilling customer orders and credits, guaranteeing that delivery needs are met, and all processed information is precise.
* Communicate with employees from various departments within the company, such as production and warehousing.
* Respond to customer questions in a timely and effective manner to ensure a great experience.
* Ensuring effective communication and engagement with PPG customers by delivering precise details regarding product availability and addressing any queries related to delivery.
Skills and Experience:
* Ability to build and develop rapport with internal and external customers.
* Understanding of Automotive and Industrial/Protective Coatings desirable.
* An interest or knowledge of any of the paint/coatings industry considered an advantage.
* SAP experience advantageous, but not essential.
* Ability to prioritise competing enquiries and priorities.
* Attention to detail.
* Ability to perform under pressure & can manage time well.
* Strong written and verbal communication skills.
* Customer & Quality Focused.
* Team Player with a Positive, Can-Do attitude.
* Problem Solving Skills.
