Our primary purpose is to enable kids, young people and adults living with disability and their families to participate in the community to their full potential.About the RoleThe Allied Health Assistant works with a multi-disciplinary team involved in a variety of activities and programs with individual clients and groups. Working across Novita’s allied health professions including physiotherapy, occupational therapy, speech pathology and psychology, the role assists with a broad range of interventions and support services to children and their families. Position is based at Whyalla.The Allied Health Assistant will undertake the following activities:Undertake activities with clients, families or education staff in line with defined programs developed by an Allied Health ClinicianAssist in the provision of therapy, group activities and programs by providing administrative support, intervention support, setting-up, packing-down and cleaning and tidyingMaintain defined work areas, materials and equipmentPrepare and make equipment and materials for use by clients and Allied Health CliniciansAbout YouTo be successful in this role you will have the following skills and attributes:Cert IV - Allied Health AssistanceExperience in working with children and young people with disabilities and developmental delay.Positive & solutions-focussed with a commitment to deliver high quality service.Availability to work across a flexible roster.We’re serious about safeguarding our clients.
