About the role Red Cross Emergency Services assists people and communities before, during and after emergencies. The team's work supports communities, groups and individuals to prepare for emergencies as well as assisting with response and disaster recovery. In this position, you will design, facilitate and evaluate training programs and information sessions to build the capacity of individuals and communities to anticipate, respond to, and recover from disasters. Working within a framework of community development, you will engage with communities to identify and develop community-led resilience activities and lead the development and implementation of resilience plans for local communities, organisations and partner agencies. What you will bring Prior experience in developing and facilitating training sessions and workshops Experience in emergency management, project management or community engagement and/or community development Sound ability to develop strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders Well-developed written and verbal communication skills.
