As an Engineering Officer in our Defence Maritime Support Services (DMSS) team, you’ll play a crucial role in supporting engineering configuration changes for maritime assets. This position is responsible for ensuring critical operations continue seamlessly during staff absences. You’ll collaborate with a diverse range of stakeholders, including the National Engineering Manager, to support our work with the Australian Defence Force.
As an Engineering Officer in the DMSS team, you’ll make a positive impact by:
* Managing engineering configuration changes under NSO direction
* Preparing scopes of work to implement changes to maritime assets
* Overseeing engineering change projects
* Collaborating with Navy, and port team staff
* Supporting compliance with DMSS contract obligations and statutory requirements

To be successful in this role, you’ll have:
* Tertiary qualification in marine engineering or related field
* Experience in Defence or maritime industries
* Familiarity with systems engineering and ASDEFCON contract management
* Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
* Ability to manage complex engineering projects
* Ability to obtain Defence Security Baseline Clearance
