As GenesisCare continues our exciting growth here in Western Australia, we are thrilled to announce that we are recruiting for our brand-new Radiation Oncology Clinic that recently opened in the beautiful Great Southern region, Albany.
We now have a Registered Nurse opportunity available, working permanent full-time (Monday to Friday).
As a Registered Nurse, you will provide clinical care, education and support the delivery of an exceptional patient experience by responding to patient needs as part of a multidisciplinary team.
More specifically you will:
1. Provide excellent patient care, ensuring patients' physical and psychological needs are met.
2. Interact with patients and undertake education, wound management and drug administration.
3. Effectively manage nursing patient load.
4. Facilitate effective lines of communication with doctors, patient services, physics, and radiation therapy staff.
5. Provide patient feedback to the doctors and radiation therapy staff.
6. Ensure all patient episodes of care or interventions are documented, communicated and actioned.
7. Monitor and maintain procedures, protocols, practices and clinical guidelines in line with best practice nursing standards.
8. Ensure medication management protocols are followed.
9. Establish communication for allied health services using ISBAR communication tool to all allied health services along with supported documented evidence.
10. Comply with patient handover procedures as per ISBAR communication tool.
11. Support the clinical introduction of new medications / drugs and nursing products by demonstrating knowledge and application in the patient care setting.
We’re looking for someone who has:
12. Current AHPRA registration.
13. We are a multi-skilled oncology team who work across radiation oncology so experience in radiation oncology is preferred but not essential as we will provide training as needed for the successful candidate.
14. Clinical experience as a nurse with demonstrated understanding of oncology and the ability to liaise with allied health care.
15. Exemplary interpersonal and communication skills, with an ability to demonstrate empathy for patients.
16. Well-developed analytical and problem-solving skills.
17. Commitment to the application of quality improvement and best practice principles, including the NSQHS.
18. Strong commitment to quality patient care.
19. Commitment to or evidence of continuing your professional development.
20. Wound care management experience.
21. Ability to use electronic clinical administration systems, as well as MS Office is highly preferred.
22. We are a multi-skilled oncology team who work across radiation oncology so experience in radiation oncology is preferred but not essential as we will provide training as needed for the successful candidate.
