Southern Adelaide Local Health Network – Flinders Medical Centre – Rehabilitation, Aged Care and Palliative CareSalary $104,180.00 - $111,746.00 (Pro Rata) AHP3| Part Time 15 hours per week – OngoingJoin today and contribute to our mission of providing the highest standard of care to our patients.As the Senior Physiotherapist you will work closely with other members of the multidisciplinary team and provide service / peer leadership in line with the Division of RAP and lead the Physiotherapy aspects of Older Persons Assessment and Liaison (OPAL) and Residential Care Outreach Team (RCOT) service provision. This role will be required to work on the weekends Saturday and Sunday.About the role:As the Senior Physiotherapist, duties for the role will include:Developing, reviewing and evaluating clinical protocols, policies, procedures and resources within a best practice framework within the OPAL / RCOT unit.Providing advice and consultancy to other staff within the Physiotherapy department, other health professionals, and external clinicians or agencies on their area of expertise as required.Supervising junior physiotherapy staff, and Allied Health Assistants allocated to the OPAL / RCOT unit and transition care.Documenting assessment findings and interventions, in accordance with documentation guidelines and standards.Collaborating with other team members and community agencies.About you:Must be available for weekend shifts.Demonstrated high level interpersonal skills including negotiation, consultation and conflict resolution skills, and the ability to establish and maintain effective networks with key stakeholders.Demonstrated high level communication skills including the ability to communicate with clients, professional staff of different disciplines, administrative staff and staff of other agencies, both verbally and in writing.Extensive experience in the provision of clinical Physiotherapy services to clients with a broad range of illnesses and disabilities relevant to an acute medical area, in particular clients with complex needs and the older person.A degree or equivalent which entitles registration as a Physiotherapist with the Physiotherapy Board of Australia.Proven experience in delivering high quality and safe care consistent with the National Safety and Quality Health Care Service Standards.Please see the attached Role Description for additional information.Want To Know More?
