Lo & Co Interiors is an architectural hardware company with multiple locations in Australia, New Zealand, and an international market. We are currently seeking to expand our team and are looking to fill the position of Warehouse Manager at our Adelaide headquarters.
The Warehouse Manager at Lo & Co Interiors will be responsible for independently managing and performing all aspects of the warehouse's day-to-day operations, including handling stock levels, transportation costs, delivery times, and supervising warehouse staff and their tasks. Based in Adelaide, this full-time, hands-on role requires strong management skills, experience in a warehouse environment, and a high degree of emphasis on customer service. Key responsibilities include organizing and executing projects, implementing safety protocols, managing inventory, overseeing logistics processes, and personally performing forklift duties. This position is ideal for a motivated, self-sufficient individual who thrives in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Warehouse Operations
* Manage daily warehouse activities, including receiving, storing, picking, packing, and dispatching orders.
* Operate forklifts to load and unload trucks, move stock, and organise storage areas.
* Wrap pallets securely and prepare them for storage or transport.
* Implement and maintain effective inventory control and stock management systems.
* Ensure all warehousing activities adhere to health, safety, and quality standards.
Process Improvement and Problem Solving
* Identify and implement process improvements to enhance productivity and efficiency.
* Resolve operational issues and escalate problems when necessary.
Collaboration and Logistics
* Manage transport costs and efficiency.
* Collaborate with internal departments, external stakeholders, and different divisions to optimise logistics and supply chain operations.
* Liaise with suppliers and employees to ensure inventory is properly documented and ordered, and delivery schedules are met.
* Discuss and negotiate shipment costs with couriers.
Team Management and Development
* Recruit, onboard, and develop new employees.
* Train and oversee team members, providing ongoing support and guidance as the team grows.
* Schedule and manage the warehouse team to optimise workflow and maintain efficiency.
* Provide direct management support on matters such as training, leave, and complaints.
Leadership and Strategy
* Develop and implement strategic plans and policies to improve warehousing operations.
* Foster a workplace culture aligned with organisational values and maintain open communication with the Senior Leadership Team through meetings and regular updates.
