About the Role
We have an exciting opportunity for an approachable and caring Learning Support Teacher to join the supportive team at Cathedral Catholic Primary School in Bathurst, NSW. The teacher in a Catholic school is someone who can encourage, develop and nurture the personal, spiritual and educational growth of each and every student.
We are seeking a Learning Support Teacher who understands and commits to supporting the mission and ethos of Catholic education within the school by:
* Creating a learner-centred, supportive, and cooperative learning environment aligned with curriculum policies.
* Developing and implementing quality intervention programs using evidence based research.
* Assessing and reporting on student progress.
* Using inclusive teaching strategies and adapting practices for equitable education.
* Analysing student assessment data to identify learning barriers and encourage growth at each student’s point of need.
* Engaging in ongoing professional learning.
* Collaborating with families, classroom teachers, teacher assistants, school leadership and diocesan consultants.
* Providing student supervision and assisting in the support of extracurricular activities.

About You (Selection Criteria)
The new Teacher (Learning Support) will enrich the experiences of our students through contemporary teaching experience and aligning with the following selection criteria:
* Experience as a Learning Support Teacher
* A track record of implementing inclusive practices in a school setting.
* Understanding of current research and practices to support students with a disability and those requiring additional support.
* A proven record of positive communication in a warm and professional manner with families, children and staff.
* Experience with the Nationally Consistent Collection of Data (NCCD).
* Exceptional time management and organisational skills.
* Commitment to the mission of Catholic Education.
