About the Role:We're currently seeking experienced Heavy Vehicle Mechanics to join a team working on a long-term project involving the maintenance and servicing of specialized vehicles and equipment. You'll be responsible for ensuring the fleet operates safely, efficiently, and reliably.
Key Responsibilities:Perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on heavy vehicles and equipment
Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical and electrical faults
Repair engines, transmissions, brakes, suspension systems, and hydraulics
Conduct inspections and testing to ensure roadworthiness
Maintain accurate service records and documentation
Work collaboratively with technicians, supervisors, and engineers
Follow all safety and compliance procedures
About You:Trade qualified Heavy Vehicle Mechanic (Cert III in Heavy Commercial Vehicle Mechanical Technology or equivalent)
Minimum 2 years post-trade experience in heavy vehicle or mobile plant maintenance
Strong understanding of diesel engines, hydraulics, and electrical systems
Experience working on specialized or high-spec equipment is a bonus
Current driver's licence (HR licence preferred)
Forklift, EWP or other relevant tickets advantageous
Able to pass medical and police clearance checks
