About the Role
As the successful applicant, you will ideally be an innovative and highly motivated educator with the ability to provide quality engagement programs, creating and maintaining safe and supportive learning environments. You should have a passion for working with disengaged youth and a deep understanding of strategies to effectively engage students in the learning process. Our Engagement Program has two classes, a lower school and a senior school class: the lower school program focuses on engaging students in the curriculum with the possibility of returning to mainstream classes; the senior school class focuses on providing students with life skills and a pathway to future employment.
You will ideally be a reflective practitioner who actively engages in activities to improve your professional practice. The successful applicant for this position will be student and relationship focused. Knowledge of Functional Behaviour Assessment (FBA); Special Educational Needs (SEN) planning and reporting; social and emotional learning programs and positive behaviour support would be considered advantageous.
