About the
Role:
The
Information Technology Trainee is accountable to the Information
& Learning Technologies Manager for the operational
effectiveness of Aldinga Payinthi College's computer related
information systems supporting the administrative and curriculum
needs of the college, and for providing support of hardware and
software.
The
Trainee will be supported in order to develop skills in the
following areas:
Effective day to day
operation and integrity of the college's Information
Communication Technology (ICT) systems.
Contribute to and
implement ICT strategy, policy, and technical projects under
the guidance of the Learning Technologies Manager.
Provide ICT support
and technical advice to staff and students, including issue
resolution via the ICT Service Desk.
Maintain and develop
technical documentation, record-keeping, and standard operating
procedures for data management.
Perform technical
tasks such as password resets, minor repairs, and
hardware/equipment installations.
Assist with ICT
asset management, including stocktaking and equipment
tracking.
Ensure
confidentiality, security, and a strategic approach to daily
ICT maintenance and
emergencies.
Special
Conditions:
Undertake vocational
qualification training requirements at the Certificate Ill
level (Certificate Ill in
Information Technology)
Undertake Responding
to Risks of Harm, Abuse and Neglect-Education and Care
(RRHAN-EC) child
protection training.
Be
able to gain a Department of Human Services (OHS) child-related
employment screening before
being employed.
Undertake training
and professional development activities as per the contract of
training and training
plan.
A
probationary period will apply to this employment.
37.5
hours per week. Generally, this involves starting at 8:00am and
finishing at 4:00pm. Some out of
hour's work will be required.

Remuneration:
$15,337 -
$39,647 per annum (1.0 FTE) + superannuation (11.5%) and leave
loading
Note:
The salary level will be dependent on the year of schooling
completed as well as number of years out of school.
