Confluence Water is a Joint Venture between Downer, Jacobs and Ventia, and is one of three consortia engaged to deliver services to Sydney Water.As Sydney Water's North Delivery Partner.we provide design, capital works construction, maintenance and facilities management services across the North Region which stretches from Sydney Harbour to the Hawkesbury River including the Northern Beaches and the Hills Shire area.We are proud to be Sydney Water's partner in providing outstanding services to Sydney's northern communities.We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Project Planner to join our Confluence Water Joint Venture team in a permanent, full-time position located in Manly, North Head.Reporting to our Planning Lead, the role will be focusing on the delivery of the program of works in North Head for Confluence Water.This wastewater treatment site is one of the two largest Sydney Water sites and is critical to providing water services to over 2 million customers in Sydney's north.The position has an opportunity to lead the portfolio of projects at the North head Treatment plant. THE ROLE Accountable for all aspects of planning, scheduling, and project controls (EVM) for a portfolio of projects.The main responsibilities are: Develop work schedules (Master and Detailed) for a portfolio of projects to ensure timely delivery of works and meeting of project KPIs. Cost and resource loading of schedules. Identify opportunities to achieve optimum project outcomes in terms of time and cost. Resource levelling at the portfolio level for design and construction staff and workforce to optimize schedule efficiency. Perform project "What-If" scenarios as required, critical path and milestone analysis. Implement Earned Value Management, evaluate CPI & SPI and report on trends. Extension of time analysis determining time impact and incorporating Early Warning Notices into current schedules. Maintain approved Baseline Budget based on approved Compensation Events / Variations. Chair the weekly/monthly collaborative schedule meetings to update schedules, evaluate progress, identify risks and opportunities. Gather and document performance data and propose corrective actions. Early diagnosis of project trends, evaluation of productivity and benchmarking. Work closely with the project team to interpret trends, forward plan, develop strategies to achieve project goals. Support the implementation of project controls software. ABOUT YOU 8-12 years of demonstrated Planning expertise in Engineering and/or Construction. Tertiary qualification in an Engineering field. Proficiency in the use of Primavera P6 and Microsoft Project scheduling software to meet planning requirements. Worked on NEC-based contracts or in collaborative contracting environments (Alliance or Partnering agreements) (Preferred) Proactive in delay analysis and providing schedule recovery options. Ability to work with complex project structures and facilitate schedule optimization. Extensive experience in cost control interface with planning and risk management for projects, especially in earned value metrics. Managed project schedules in coordination with multiple teams, ensuring alignment with overall project goals. Proactive approach, problem solving skills, able to communicate effectively.
