The Role
Headquarters Joint Operations Command (HQJOC) is seeking an Information Response Coordinator to oversee and support the search, analysis and provision of appropriate operational information in support of stakeholder requests. This role will report to Deputy Director - JOC SIM Cell and will be responsible for coordinating search activity for current and historic operational data across multiple Defence databases in response to requests for information from various internal and external stakeholders.
The performance of the Information Response Coordinator will be measured against the quality of timely and comprehensive search outcomes, engagement with stakeholders, management of priorities and expectations and the ability to supervise and coordinate a small team of APS and Reservists. The Information Response Coordinator will also be required to support the other administrative functions within the cell including FOI/Ministerial responses, development of draft briefs, supporting the implementation of Defence initiatives allocated to HQJOC and incident management coordination.
About our Team
Headquarters Joint Operations Command (HQJOC) is the Australian Defence Force's operational level headquarters responsible for the command and control of ADF operations domestically and overseas. The Sensitive Issues Management Cell was established in November 2022 and is responsible for the management of joint operational and exercise incidents and providing operational information returns to various stakeholders including the Afghanistan Inquiry Response Task Force, the Royal Commission in to Defence Veteran Suicide Task Force and the Official History Project of the Australian War Memorial. The Informational Response Team consists of APS/ADF Reservists and contractors.

The person will be a good leader, great collaborator, a good team player, have impressive communication skills both written and oral and be prepared to multi skill across Cell functions.
