Our work includes working with a diverse population, including providing support to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people and their families.
Job Responsibilities
* Conducting a range of Psychological assessments of a client's presenting issues and support needs, and identifying appropriate supports, interventions and service models;
* Preparing, writing and delivering Psychological and other specific assessment reports;
* Providing client-centred therapy and direct treatments;
* Providing behaviour support for children and adults with complex disability and psycho-social support needs, complex mental health issues, and trauma-based presentations;
* Working with a multidisciplinary team to optimise outcomes.
Desired Skills and Experience
* Tertiary qualification in Psychology and full AHPRA registration;
* Practitioner registration with the NDIS Commission;
* Experience in working with people with intellectual disabilities, mental health issues and / or experiences of trauma who have complex needs;
* Experience in working with individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorders and other neurodiverse populations;
* Experience in providing clinical and / or behaviour assessment, intervention and support in the disability, out-of-home care and / or other relevant sectors;
* Experience in the provision of practice or clinical supervision to other practitioners;
* Experience working with individuals who have had contact with the juvenile justice or criminal justice system is desirable but not essential.
Requirements
* Current Driver's Licence;
* Current Working with Children Check and NDIS Worker Screening, or the ability to attain these checks;
* Willingness to adhere to the Government requirements regarding vaccinations for workers in certain sectors.
