You will provide therapy, conduct assessments, and participate in treatment planning for patients with diverse mental health needs in a fast-paced and challenging work environment. You will work with individuals facing acute or severe mental health crises. Ensuring effective continuity of care as clients transition between community-based care and inpatient care is crucial - this involves maintaining strong links and effective liaison with local general hospitals, acute psychiatric units, and specialist tertiary referral units. Input into care planning and discharge planning involving other community services is essential. The role also involves collaborating with local psychiatrists and other specialists in client care and maintaining strong links with local GPs to facilitate their primary care role in treating mental illness. About you: We are looking for someone who can provide high-quality, patient focused, evidence-based psychological services to improve the health outcomes of people utilising the service. Ensuring patient and/or consumer care is delivered within professional, organisational, legal, and ethical boundaries and reflects best evidence-based knowledge and practice is non-negotiable. You must demonstrate flexibility and innovation in clinical service provision, with strong time management and workload prioritisation skills. Requirements: Completion of an Australian Psychology Accreditation Council accredited postgraduate clinical psychology qualification of no less than two years full time duration or recognised equivalent, displayed on the Psychology Board of Australia website.
