ABOUT THE ROLE The Movement Institute is looking for a passionate physiotherapist with experience working in athletic populations, both individual and team.
Our integrated and innovative approach to sports performance and rehabilitation will allow you the freedom to not only treat clinically, but to collaborate with our performance team & coach your athletes through rehabilitation programs out on the gym floor.
In addition, our partnerships with multiple local sporting clubs will provide you with an opportunity to work alongside athletes for their entire rehabilitation process. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE ROLE: Completing assessments & treatments for all Musculoskeletal & Sports physiotherapy clients (including manual therapy, exercise prescription, and coaching) and providing guidance and support to all athletes within TMI. Oversee the development and delivery of specialist rehabilitation services to all injured athletes, including monitoring, evaluating, and adjusting long-term plans.
Educating clients on performance goals, injury prevention, rehabilitation, and self-management strategies. Timely communication of progress to the Heads of Rehabilitation & Performance. Manage the musculoskeletal screening & testing of rehab athletes, utilising our VALD equipment (up-skilling where required). Liaise and meet regularly with the performance team for optimal medical management Ensure effective communication with our partnered local sporting clubs throughout their respective competition seasons Maintain up-to-date notes on our practice & athlete management system. Collaborating with other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care to clients Participating in ongoing professional development activities to maintain and enhance clinical skills and knowledge Complete written reports as required by the performance team Manage all consumables THE SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE WILL NEED: Relevant tertiary and postgraduate qualifications in Physiotherapy AHPRA & APA Registration details Up-to-date personal indemnity insurance Demonstrable specialist skills in injury diagnosis and rehabilitation Excellent organisational & communication skills The ability to work well independently and within a multidisciplinary high-performance team environment Be highly motivated with ability to work under his/her own direction to achieve performance targets within an agreed timeframe Have a proactive, flexible performance-orientated approach An understanding of, and ability to maintain, appropriate medical confidentiality Ability to analyse complex medical problems and develop bespoke solutions Commitment to ongoing professional development and continuous learning
