Who are we looking for?
We're looking for an Advisor to join our Risk team to be based in either Melbourne or Brisbane to service Australia and global markets. Our Risk Service has an exciting career development opportunity to play a key role in supporting our capabilities as we establish an industry leading position. This role will be appointed with hybrid workplace options.
Working with an energetic and high performing team, this position offers a variety of work and will see you involved in:
1. Operating across a wide variety of markets and learning opportunities to provide innovative risk solutions to our clients
2. Perform and participate in a variety of risk assessments such as Safety in Design, HAZID, HAZOP, FMECA, QRA, for the Oil & Gas, Mining, Manufacturing, Water, Power Generation and Transmission, Government, Transport and Petrochemical
3. Perform technical risk modelling using various Risk and Consequence software under the direction of our senior advisors and executive advisors; Training in the use of specific risk software will be provided but previous experience in PHAST, SAFETI, @Risk, PHAPro is highly desired
4. Manage projects and ensure that they are completed within the budget and contractual obligations
5. Promote relationships with existing and potential clients. Increase business by improving client relationships and encouraging the prospect of repeat business through exceptional client service.
6. Preparing concise, accurate and focused written analysis, recommendations and presentations under the direction of the team's executive advisors
What you will bring to the team:
7. Degree qualification in Engineering or Science related to process safety (Chemical, Mechanical preferred) or similar discipline is highly regarded but not essential.
8. 2 to 6 years industry experience in a recognised consulting, chemical processing, heavy industry, corporate or regulatory environment
9. Experience working in a risk, audit, governance or compliance position
10. Strong teamwork and interpersonal skills; a proven ability to develop and maintain internal and external relationships
11. Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
12. Strong project management skills
