As a full-time carpenter, you will be responsible for constructing, installing, and repairing structures and fixtures made from wood and other materials. This role involves working on both residential and commercial projects, ensuring all work meets safety and quality standards. Apply today if you are on the lookout for a job that will let you experience career growth opportunities and attractive terms and conditions!Key Responsibilities:Measure, cut, and shape wood, plastic, fibreglass, and drywall materials.Install framing, windows, doors, flooring, cabinetry, and other structures.Erect scaffolding and other structures required for building projects.Construct and install building components, including staircases, rafters, and beams.Read and interpret blueprints and building plans to meet specific project requirements.Apply finishes to wood and other surfaces, including staining, varnishing, and painting.Inspect and repair structures, ensuring compliance with safety standards and regulations.Collaborate with project managers, other tradespeople, and clients to meet project goals.Maintain tools and equipment and ensure their proper usage.Ensure adherence to worksite safety regulations and practices.Perform other related tasks as needed.Qualifications/Attributes:Must hold a relevant Certificate III in Carpentry with at least 2 years of on-the-job training, a Certificate IV, or at least 3 years of experience in lieu of qualifications.Must have at least 1 year of relevant experience.Proficient knowledge of construction techniques, materials, and tools.Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints.Knowledge of building codes and safety standards.Excellent manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination.Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.Ability to work independently and as part of a team.Good communication and interpersonal skills.Salary Range: $75,000 - $85,000 p.a. excluding superannuation.
