What you’ll be doing…
As a Fleet Configuration Engineer your role will be accountable for review and report continuing airworthiness through effective configuration control of aircraft and ensure compliance to key engineering CAMO functions including Mandatory Regulatory Reporting, workflow process auditing and Dispatch Deviation Guide Manual Management.
As a Fleet Configuration Engineer, you will be responsible for:
* Review and monitor Airworthiness Directives and Mandatory requirements for operated types comply with CASR 42.120
* Review and coordinate AMOC applications in accordance with CASR 39.004
* Final reporting for closure of investigation required in accordance with CASR Part 42.275
* Coordinate aircraft inductions and exit activity across the Fleet Engineering department in accordance with published instructions.

* A suitable Aviation Engineering Qualification Diploma, Graduate or Post Graduate in any of the following disciplines aeronautical; avionics; mechanical; electrical; electronics; or have held an aircraft engineer licence or aviation maintenance qualification.
* Recent and demonstrated work experience working in either an airline technical services, support role or aircraft maintenance working with aircraft that are the same, or of a similar type, as the aircraft type operated by the airline
* Demonstrated experience in aircraft maintenance and servicing
* Exceptional understanding of CASA regulations
* Exposure to project management, auditing or investigation highly regarded
* Proficient in MS Suite, in particular Excel
* Advanced computing, data entry and analysis skills, ideally TRAX
* Recent experience or certification duties on the B737NG/MAX type or an understanding of Virgin Australia operational procedures is a preferred requirement for this role.
