The Role MACA are seeking an experienced Civil Senior Project Engineer – Non-Process Infrastructure to join our team at Olive Downs, working a 10/4 roster, FIFO from South East Queensland. The Olive Downs Coking Coal Project is located centrally in the world's premier coking coal precinct, the Bowen Basin of Queensland. The Civil Project Engineer provides integrity and knowledge to key areas of civil and earthworks engineering, including regulatory codes, legislative requirements, and best industry practice. Responsibilities will include: Define NPI user requirement specifications with relevant stakeholders. Provide technical input for design and construct contracts and develop scope of work documentation. Review and plan works with the project team to ensure technical aspects of each package are clear. Provide a focal point for technical based queries. Liaise with both in-house and external designers and detailers as required for the successful completion of each project. Assist in project reporting including cost forecast and schedule updates. Review project schedules, Contractor Data Requirement List (CDRL) and develop procurement registers based on site installation dates to ensure all deliverables are within the required timeframe and contractual requirements. Facilitate in the management of third-party consultants who are engaged on large scale projects or as required for specialised design. Interface with the design teams during design development of assigned areas. Facilitate design and constructability reviews. Provide technical and construction management support during NPI construction activities. Support Senior Project Engineer and/or Project Manager in mitigation of risks and exploitation of opportunities throughout project delivery. Promote cost savings and identify improvement opportunities with regards to design, engineering, and work practices. Requirements: Tertiary Qualification in Engineering. Extensive Non-Process Infrastructure construction experience. 5+ years of professional knowledge gained through significant experience working in a similar site-based role. Sound written and verbal communication skills including presentation skills. Good interpersonal skills with people at all levels. Effective organisation and planning skills. Intermediate skills using the Microsoft Office suite. Intermediate skills using Microsoft Project. Australian "C" class drivers' licence. White Card.
