About the Role
This is an Expression of Interest for an Electrical Site Engineer. UGL Major Projects division is expecting significant growth for 2025 in Western Australia as we support large Building Services Projects. This is a fantastic opportunity for locals and those open to FIFO and DIDO roles.
As a result, we have an Expression of Interest for the Electrical Site Engineer role:
Supervise and manage the installation of electrical systems, including power distribution, lighting, and emergency systems.
Collaborate with project managers and engineers to ensure electrical designs meet project specifications and compliance standards.
Conduct site inspections and quality assurance checks to ensure work is carried out according to relevant codes and safety regulations.
Troubleshoot and resolve electrical issues during installation and commissioning phases.
Coordinate with contractors and subcontractors to ensure timely completion of electrical tasks.
Prepare and maintain accurate project documentation, including drawings, specifications, and progress reports.
Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and promote a culture of safety on site.
Assist in the development of project schedules and resource allocation for electrical work.
About You
Tertiary education in Electrical Engineering
At least 4 years’ experience in Electrical Engineering (practical as well as design)
Strong communication skills (oral & written) including strong negotiation and influencing skills and the ability to establish effective working relationships with a variety of people at different levels both internally and externally.
Have a strong understanding of Building Codes, utilities requirements and building services to be implemented in residential buildings.
Proven experience (from concept to completion), as design engineer with full understanding of local construction methodologies throughout all areas of residential development.
Experience working on large accommodation villages made up of modular buildings or similar types of projects.
Australian driver’s license.
Demonstrated ability to work independently to organise and prioritise demands, handle multiple complex tasks simultaneously, set and meet deadlines and follow-through within a fast-paced environment with multiple and competing demands.
